About Hauler Hero
Hauler Hero is a B2B SaaS company serving the waste and recycling industry with 250+ organizations on the platform. We compete against legacy providers that have dominated this space for decades. Our customers are small to mid-size haulers and municipalities who need modern software that works the way their operations actually run.
The role
Events are an important part of our go-to-market motion, particularly for larger deal sizes. We're looking for a hands-on field marketer who can strengthen event execution, bring consistency to planning and follow-up, and help improve how we measure impact over time.
You are not starting from zero. We have built a real field marketing program over the past year, and two significant programs are already in flight with venues secured, budgets committed, and deadlines on the calendar. Your first job is carrying them across the finish line, with part-time transition support from the outgoing field marketing manager so nothing gets dropped in the handoff. From there, you take ownership of the calendar, the budget, and how we measure event impact.
You'll own day-to-day event execution and partner closely with sales, demand gen, and marketing leadership to ensure events support pipeline and revenue goals. This role reports to the Head of Marketing and is an individual contributor role.
What you'll do
This role is execution-heavy with room to grow strategically.
Immediate priorities
Two programs are already underway and you'll take ownership both mid-flight. You won't do it alone. Our outgoing field marketing manager is staying on part-time, roughly 20 to 25 hours a week, through both events. You'll have someone with full context to lean on while you ramp, and you'll direct that support as you take the reins.
RCon (SWANA), September 29 to October 2, St. Louis
RCon is SWANA's flagship annual conference and the largest gathering of waste and resource management professionals in North America, drawing roughly 1,700 attendees in its inaugural year. It is one of the highest-value shows on our calendar.
Booth build is secured, with design in progress alongside the Head of Marketing
Attending team is confirmed and lodging is booked
You'll pick up design finalization, pre-show outreach, on-site logistics, and post-show follow-up
Hero Summit - Hauler Hero User Conference
Our first customer conference, targeting roughly 50 attendees and being held in St. Petersburg the week of 11/9, is built around thought leadership, peer networking, and hands-on power user training. We are pairing it with our first all-company offsite, which means you'll be running two connected (but not overlapping) events at one venue.

First round of invitations has been sent
Content plan is in place
You'll take pick up registration and attendee outreach, agenda logistics, vendor management, on-site execution, and the offsite programming that runs alongside it

Travel to several key industry events annually
Planning and optimization
Own planning and management of the annual tradeshow calendar and budget, both projected and reconciled
Track leads, opportunities, and pipeline influenced by events
