Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Analyst

Location: Remote/Hybrid - USA

Reports to: Strategic Sourcing Manager

Department Name: Strategic Sourcing

Job Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Pay Range: $25 - $28/hr. (Actual compensation is commensurate with job related knowledge, skills, experience, etc.)

Position Summary

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst supports the Strategic Sourcing Team by delivering analytical insights that help management make informed, data-driven decisions. This role primarily involves working with Microsoft Excel to assist in various sourcing projects. These projects typically include responding to new customer RFPs, optimizing and rightsizing waste services for existing Rubicon clients, managing reprocurement efforts, launching services for new customers, and addressing cancellations from current clients.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities

  • Review and rectify data integrity gaps in existing contract database
  • Assemble and summarize data, make presentations by analyzing results, monitoring variances and identifying trends for cost savings to senior management
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards when and as needed
  • Monitor performance of existing technology and build business cases for technology enhancements
  • Share knowledge, expertise, and best practices with team members
  • Ability to travel and/or work onsite as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 2+ years of relevant experience in data management and revenue analysis will be considered
  • Strong experience in financial and operational modeling
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and highly responsive to a fast-changing environment
  • Proficient in advanced Excel formulas (X-Lookups, Pivot Tables, SUMIF, reporting and building dashboards, charting/visualizations, etc.)
  • Strong operational, analytical, and technical skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of program management
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into snapshots appropriate for senior management use
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion
  • Ability to work independently while also being a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Discretion and trustworthiness in handling sensitive information and supporting high-level strategic initiatives
