That’s where you come in.</p> </div> <div class="wp-block-paragraph container"> <h2>About the Opportunity:</h2> </div> <div class="wp-block-paragraph container"> <p>The Data Science intern will support the Data Science team at EnMass Energy working on the intersection of waste management, logistics, and renewable energy. The ideal candidate will have a focus and distinct interest in positive social impact, and a desire to get experience at a funded startup. Intern(s) will be expected to learn and expand their grasp of techniques, software, and methodologies relevant to data science and analytics. You should have a desire to work in a diverse team environment and working along a business narrative to solve problems. Candidates should have an innovative mindset, be considerate and respectful, and able to work independently. Expected, but flexible start date is May 2021, and the program will have a 3-4 month duration.</p> </div> <div class="wp-block-paragraph container"> <h3>What You’ll Do:</h3> </div> <ul> <li>Work with real data to solve real business problems</li> <li>Use data science and visualization tools </li> <li>Collaborate with other Data Scientists to research new methodologies and deliver new solutions</li> </ul> <div class="wp-block-paragraph container"> <h3>What You Should Have:</h3> </div> <ul> <li>You are currently enrolled in a bachelors degree (rising junior/senior), Masters or PhD in Data Science/Analytics, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field</li> <li>Highly skilled at computer programming/coding SQL, Python, SAS, R, etc.</li> <li>Must have a minimum GPA of 3.2</li> <li>Must feel comfortable working in a fully virtual format</li> <li>Preference for candidates located in Durham, NC or Boulder, CO</li> </ul> <div class="wp-block-paragraph container"> <h3>About Our Culture:</h3> </div> <div class="wp-block-paragraph container"> <p>We believe a circular economy and energy system is the most impactful solution to climate change.
