Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to join the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Finance team. The candidate will serve as a strategic Finance Business Partner and own end-to-end financial management of our RNG sites. Responsibilities include annual budget setting, monthly forecasting, cash management, internal and external financial reporting, and ad hoc analysis. The Senior FP&A Analyst will work cross-functionally in the organization and interact withexecutives, lenders, and investors.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently lead preparation of monthly and quarterly compliance packages for investors and lenders, including project level financial statements, budget vs forecast reports, debt compliance metrics, and cash distribution forecasts.
  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with senior management level business partners and key stakeholders including project/asset managers.
  • Prepare and present annual forecasts and variance analysis (budget vs actuals) on a monthly basis.
  • Establish processes to ensure compliance with legal documents, agreements, policies, and internal controls.
  • Meet internal deadlines for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual activities.
  • Lead special projects as requested and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business grows.
  • Improve processes and streamline reporting to increase team efficiency.
  • Derive insights from complex financial data, make strategic recommendations, and present findings to upper management in a clear and concise manner.

Success Criteria (what success will look like in this role):

  • Owning and building complex financial forecasts that are predictive of the project’s performance.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the details while deriving big-picture insights and tailoring communication based on audience.
  • Performing insightful financial analyses, including identifying key variances, opportunities, and issues to management.
  • Delivering high quality reports on a timely basis for external and internal reporting purposes.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and managing competing priorities.
  • Establish and foster relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Experience & Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business or related field.
  • 4+ years of applicable experience in corporate or project finance, FP&A or accounting.
  • Strong analytical, planning, process management and organization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with management, lenders, investors and external auditors.
  • Persistent problem solver who can resolve problems independently, effectively, and efficiently with business partners. Ability to overcome obstacles to achieve goals.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct and/or Workday Adaptive Planning is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple, ongoing assignments on a timely basis and keep management informed of changes to timelines.
  • Team focused. Effectively collaborate and share knowledge with various departments and levels throughout the organization.
  • Experience with multi-entity organization structures (like real estate industry), reporting and related accounting is preferred.


Salary:

  • $140,000-$145,000 per year

Location Requirements:

  • Required to meet in our San Francisco office 2-3 days/week
