The General Manager/Site Manager for Battle Truck Solutions - Detroit will be responsible for overseeing all operations at our new truck fleet facility in Plymouth, MI. Excellent Service Repair Execution, Maximize Parts Sales, and Accurate Parts Inventory Management are the primary role objectives of this position. Expected job tasks and responsibilities require a working leader with experience in the Heavy Duty Commercial Truck Industry, capable of team building and development, while continuously committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
LOCATION: Onsite in Plymouth, Michigan
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage daily operations, to ensure a high level of quality in service delivery, accurate parts support, and adequate parts inventory management.
• Lead and motivate a team of technicians and support staff to deliver superior service results.
• Measure technician efficiency, productivity, and performance to ensure excellent service repair quality and time accuracy.
• Develop continuous technician training programs.
• Ensure compliance with Battle Motors manufacturer chassis warranty and service policy procedures.
• Source, maintain, and safeguard service equipment tooling and stay abreast of new technological tooling advances.
• Lead and motivate a parts department team to ensure accurate order fulfillment, proper inventory protocols, and delivery execution in a timely manner.
• Measure parts sales productivity and performance per employee, to ensure adequate coverage and continued sales growth.
• Make sure parts department personnel are abreast of specific industry knowledge and involved in continuous education programs.
• Apply consistent objective efforts and creative ideas to maximize parts sales.
• Ensure proper reporting tools are utilized for accurate parts inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with Battle Truck Solutions warranty and parts policy procedures.
• Consistently monitor processes to achieve operational excellence and implement systems to sustain it.
• Establish and maintain a 24-hr follow up with all customers to confirm satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, resolving any concerns promptly to guarantee satisfaction for repeat business and referrals.
• Develop and implement a marketing plan to promote new and repeat business.
• Manage all revenue and expenses to ensure profitability; in order, to achieve strategic financial goals.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards, to produce a safe work environment. Continuously observe safety procedures and require all staff to follow safety rules and regulations.
• Coordinate with corporate leadership for strategic planning and expansion opportunities.
• Continuously pursue business development efforts, focusing on service support perfection and exceeding customer expectations.
This position will adhere to the Battle Motors Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This individual will work in a way that stresses the importance of preventing injury, accidents, or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their Supervisor immediately.
