Job Overview:
The Site Engineer oversees all activities on site during the construction and commissioning phases of a project depending
on Anaergia’s scope of work. This role will site based and responsible for providing full management and organization of
all site activities until handover to client. The Site Engineer will be the Anaergia’s site lead and one point of contact to our
client.
Outcomes/Goals
The Site Engineer goal will manage the Anaergia team on site which includes all internal and third-party technicians
and hands-on responsibilities in the following:
Construction phase: Review all work done by the General Contractor as per the P&ID on all equipment
supplied by Anaergia
Commissioning phase: Organize all commissioning activities with internal and third-party technicians until all
equipment supplied by Anaergia is handed off to client.
Constant communication with the PM and client on progress and delays on Site.
Decisive, able to make decisions with minimum supervision.
Ability to manage a MS Projects Schedule
Job Responsibilities:
The Site Engineer tasks include:
Perform the following duties on site when Anaergia is the EPC on the Project:
o Anaergia’s one point of contact to Client
o Inventory Management
o General Contractor and all subcontractor management
o RFI responses
o Supply daily updates to project team
o Signoff on mechanical installation
Develop the Commissioning plan supported by the whole project team. Project team (every department)
to review and approve the sequence of commissioning and ultimately the completed commissioning plan
prior to issuance.
Review draft BOP equipment SAT list from process team and the vendor package SAT forms from project
engineering (saved in SharePoint).
Develop commissioning resource plan including third party supplier schedule.
Develop detailed commissioning schedule in collaboration with project PM.
Lead daily onsite meeting on plans for the day regarding all commissioning activities.
Update commissioning schedule daily and present on weekly commissioning call.
Lead weekly commissioning calls with the project team and other important stakeholders.
Provide daily report to project team, management, and client on items completed, next steps, and
a list of open issues with recommended solutions.
Perform SAT checks for dry commissioning and wet commissioning. This includes the mechanical
and electrical checkout to be performed by the commissioning team. Submit to client for
approval.
Assist as identified on the resource plan the automation integration team with network and
communication checks, IO checkout, and sequence testing.
Calibration and scaling of instruments and valves. This can be done by our own technicians or with
the supplier.
Ensure the automation checkout sheet is updated daily and ultimately complete prior to
completion of commissioning. Submit to client for approval.
Main lead onsite for coordination with construction contractors.
Coordinate with operator/owner for functional tests, performance tests, and any required plant
shutdowns. This should be done in collaboration with the project PM.
Manage the commissioning punch list and work with the project PM to ensure all items are
assigned to a lead and completed.
Job Requirements:
Education
Holds a technical diploma or graduation in: Civil Engineering / Mechanical engineering/ Chemical
Engineering / Environmental Engineering / another high technical education or equivalent with a focus on
municipal and environmental engineering.
Experience
Matured experience with at least 5 years as an Engineer in solid waste, wastewater treatment or biogas
industry.
Expert understanding of all MS Office tools and ability to adapt to new digital tools
Project management experience in industrial projects
